First Day Of Editing Part 2

First Day Of Editing

Production - Day 1 Editing

These are some screen shots that were taken today. We began our editing today where we thought about how we wanted to begin our music video and what footage we would use to introduce our artist. We decided to use the shot where James was walking over the bridge to establish him as the artist. We  played around with manipulating the footage and decided to modify the time of the parts of the footage so that when the beat goes faster, James will walk faster. The result of this was brilliant as it matched the pace of the song. During our lesson, we decided that we're going to film some more footage in the green screen if its available tomorrow of tablet shots to use as cutaway shots and also close ups and extreme close ups of our artist.

Production - Day 2 bakcstage filming

We had one or two problems with people of the public running into our filming. It was an early morning filming and was bound to have joggers around. But we didn't let this get the better of us. This was taken at Limehouse nearby the station, it was a very good day and we had done a lot of filming that day- produced many base tracks.

Planning - Twitter

I had a look through twitter using the hashtag #Dubstep and read a few tweets and stumbled across a few Dubstep artists. A few things I notice were

  • There are a lot of prosumers
  • Dubstep is very controversial, a lot of people seem to dislike it
  • Some people mentioned that brands are trying to incorporate it into adverts to promote it (wii advert)
  • Despite seeing that a lot of people dislike, I saw many Dubstep pages with several followers
