Production Ancillary - How I am using Photoshop

Here are a few screen shots of the process of producing the digipak.
It has taken me a bit of time to get use to using photoshop but whilst playing around with it. I have grasped on the basics.

Here is the layer bar. As I add images and text onto the canvas, a new layer will appear. Whilst working on specific parts of the digipak, I can lock different layers to focus on others which makes it all a lot easier.

This is the bar of images at the bottom of the page. These are the images that I drag into the canvas after resizing and manipulating.
In order to create the grainy, gritty effect on the digipak, I used the 'grain' filter. Once I clicked onto the 'grain' option, I was able to intensify or reduce the gain levels.

I also used the 'clone tool' to duplicate the image to create a smoky/faded effect on the middle panel.
