Production - Reviewing Footage

gif

After a successful three/four days of filming, we have finished and will soon be starting our editing process. We came in today and looked through all of our shots and watched them back again, on a big screen to give us a better insight of how they have turned out.

After looking through the shots, we decided that it would be a good idea to label them according to whether they were good shots, bad shots, ones to use and so on. This will then help us when it comes to editing as we won't have to search for them again. We also created files for them in final cut so that we know which shots are from which day. Today's lesson was very much about organizing our shots and watching them back to see if we were missing any and to see then properly rather than from the little flip screen on the cameras. In conjunction with organization, I felt that watching the shots back triggered more ideas, editing wise and it really helped us think about how the video was going to look and what we can do with it in final cut pro. Overall, we are happy with our shots but we need to film a few quick cut away's in the green room.
