Planning- Analysis of 3 Influential Music videos

Chase and Status - Time ft Delilah

The idea of the video using disjucnture and amplification, to create awareness of Domestic Violence definitely fits in to my first influential videos, same way Rotten used awareness in his video, my group will slightly do the same but concentrating more on the individual than a macro approach. in addition the video is of the Dubstep genre.

Kanye west- All of the lights

This video however is under the hip hop genre. It has made my group want light and coloured lights to be very dominant and stand out, due to the upbeat and fast tempo. The way light was used in this video again showed creativity and imagination as it is seen through props, such as cars etc. and the random flashes of text. Again the differential shots and angles of the camera add to this creativity and by us adapting this type of skill we can also create something similar or even better to add to our music video.

Adele- Hometown Glory

Despite the different genre of this track, the music video is very influential for our base track my group will compose. We will use a black backdrop with various jump shots of different areas in london full of memories, lights and action. In  adele's video in order with the song title she is sitting in all black, whilst her background changes to different images of her hometown, using different angles of the camera rotating round her, as she is the attention of the video and so is the images in the back and I feel this is a really good and creative idea to use in our  music video. The effects to make this work will be the fade effect.
