Technical Skills Developed From AS

These are four of the essential technical skills that I developed during the course of the AS year. Each of these technical aspects cover the four main stages of the project - research, planning, producing and evaluating.

JVC Camcorder
The camcorder is of course one of, if not the most important aspect of our project. We spent a lot of time using the camera and getting use to using it before we eventually went out and filmed our real openings, therefore our skills with the camcorders progressed throughout the course. In conjunction with the camera, we used the tripod if needed.

Blogger
Blogger was used constantly from the beginning of the course right through to the end. We used blogger to document every single stage of our project which took some getting used to but it became natural to note down progression.

Final Cut ProFinal cut pro is the program we used to edit our thriller openings. After the filming stages of the project, we spent a lot of time on final cut pro, editing our work. From the beginning we were taught the basics on how to use the program and slowly throughout the course, we learned new things here and there.

Soundtrack Pro
Soundtrack Pro is quite similar to Final Cut Pro but for editing sound. We used this program after editing in final cut pro to insert foley sounds that we recorded ourself or non diegetic sounds from the program.
